Many modders especially java
modders have been looking
for tutorial on how to change
Splash screen, loading bar of
opera 5 and 6.
In this tutorial how to change
splash screen background
color is added.
APPLICATIONS NEEDED
- Opera 5 or 6 in .zip
- Propaint or any image
creator app
- Calc4m
- Class editor
PART (.1)
Now you will create three (3)
png files. (using propaint)
Splash.png
Loadingbg.png 20x8
Loadingbar.png 20x8
Note: splash.png will be used
for splash screen,
loadingbg.png is the
background color for
loadingbar, loadingbar.png is
for loading bar.
PART (.2)
open your class editor, locate
Splash.png, open it, then
press * key, start highlight
until you reach the end.
Look at the red highlight part
at the bottom of the screen
you will see the byte size of
the picture, write it down.
Repeat this process for
loadingbg.png and
loadingbar.png
PART (.3)
open your calc4m, enter the
byte size of splash.png, press
down key 2 times, then press
& hold key #, write down the
answer.
Repeat this process for
loadingbg.png and
loadingbar.png
PART (.4)
-> open loadingbar.png with
class editor, press * key and
down key until you highlight
all its content, press 5, choose
copy and back.
-> open loadingbg.png, scrol
to its end, press * key, press 5,
choose insert. Now scrol up to
the begining and copy
everything, press 5, choose
copy and back.
-> now open splash.png, scrol
to the end, press * key, press
5, choose insert, press upper
left key and save.
Now you have compile all the
3 pngs into 1.
PART (.5)
now extract your opera6 into
a folder, open your 3in1 png
(your part 4 result), press *
key, then highlight all its
content, press 5, choose copy
and back.
Open v of your opera6, scrol
to its end, press * key, press 5,
choose insert, don't move
from the place, press * key
and start scrolling up until the
byte size at left side bottom
of the screen reduced to
from------>886 but if you are
working on Opera 5, it should
be reduced to NOTE-->from504 (for
old version), --->from556 (for
new version i.e Hui202),
press 5 and choose remove.
Press upper left key and save.
PART (.6)
open the 'v' with your class
editor again, press key 0
(zero), then press key 9.
At the hex box search for the
following hex
for splash
00 04 00 00 03 89
for loadingbg
00 05 00 00 00 7B
for loadingbar
00 06 00 00 00 6B
Note: don't put space
between the hex when you
want to search
Replace the last four digits for
splash , eg 0389
Replace the last two digits for
loadingbg , eg 7B
Replace the last two digits for
loadingbar , eg 6B
with the hex you get for the
byte size in calc4m (part 3
result).
To replace use key 3.
After you finish replace, press
upper left key and save.
CHANGING BACKGROUND
COLOR OF SPLASH SCREEN
FROM WHITE TO OTHER COLOR
The hex value for this splash
screen background color is in
the biggest .class of opera 5
or 6
To know the biggest .class,
open the class with class
editor, press upper left key
and you will see the size.
For opera6.5 d.class is the
biggest class, open it with
class editor, press key 0 (zero)
, press 9, at the hex box enter
FFFFFF ok it and check the left
side of the screen to see the
answer.
Replace the first answer (i.e
first FF FF FF) with hex of
color you want. To replace
press key 3
Examples of color hex:
AC1614 - Red
24FF00 - Lime
BBBBBB - Lightblack
After you finish, compress
your opera and see the
changes.
